Civic Awareness Program in Iraq
The Democratic House Organization (DHO) implemented a Civic Awareness Program aimed at promoting the rule of law, rejecting corruption, highlighting its negative impact on Iraqi society, and empowering youth to resist involvement in corrupt practices.
As part of this program, DHO launched a national awareness campaign against corruption, which included:
Printing and distributing 1,500 posters calling for national unity and the enforcement of the law.
Conducting 20 intensive workshops, each lasting two days, engaging 500 participants representing diverse groups, including:
Media professionals.
Political party representatives.
National security officers.
Civil society representatives.
Religious leaders.
These activities were carried out across key Iraqi provinces such as Baghdad, Karbala, Kut, Basra, Najaf, and Nasiriyah, fostering broad community participation and reinforcing a culture of accountability and transparency.
