Within the Women’s Access to Justice project, the Democratic House Organization (DHO) has implemented a workshop in Al Muthanna Governorate. The Women’s Access to Justice project relies on a comprehensive approach to support women in their efforts to access justice. DHO seeks to enhance the position of women by informing them of their rights and entitlements as citizens.
Dr. Batoul Farouk, Member of Parliament, participated in the workshop, which emphasized the importance of women’s role in society and ways for women to obtain all their rights through legal empowerment courses.
The Women’s Access to Justice project is a national initiative implemented in partnership with the Swiss Embassy in Amman and funded by the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project aims to reduce the vulnerability and suffering of marginalized women by facilitating their access to the legal system and ensuring fair results for them.
The project also seeks to empower women by encouraging them to become more assertive in exercising their interests. Through legal empowerment courses, women will learn how to navigate the stages of the judicial system in Iraq and represent cases of vulnerable women in court.
