Goal:
The Democracy House Organization has launched a program to empower women and girls to obtain their legal rights without discrimination in society. The project aims to support ongoing efforts in Iraq to legally empower women by informing them of all their rights under the Iraqi Constitution and legislation, as well as international commitments, using information technology to simplify and make legal material accessible.
Main Activities:
Conducting workshops in collaboration with the Integrity Commission to raise women’s legal awareness.
Collecting, simplifying, and reviewing legal material, then providing it in an accessible way to women and the broader community, including researchers and legislators.
Building capacities and training specialists and relevant authorities on women’s legal rights.
