The Democratic House Organization (DHO) organized a workshop entitled “Strengthening Abused Women”, aimed at supporting abused women and widows while reducing gender-based violence against them. The workshop focused on enabling participants to claim their legal rights by:

Providing legal counseling and guidance on the steps required to obtain medical reports from health centers as evidence of abuse.

Advising women on how to approach security centers to file official complaints or seek assistance from relevant authorities.

Listening and offering psychosocial support to help women overcome crises and rebuild resilience.

Overall Objective of the Project:

To contribute to the support and protection of abused and at-risk women, with a particular focus on:

Women with special needs.

Widows and displaced women who are heads of households.

Key Activities:

Vocational training and skills development to enhance women’s employability.

Psychological support to help women protect their rights and recover from trauma.

Entrepreneurship training on how to start small businesses and identify sustainable income opportunities.

Through this initiative, the project not only strengthened women’s ability to protect themselves from violence but also empowered them economically to achieve independence.
